Thawing and refreezing bonsai soil
I live in zone 5 and keep my deciduous bonsai in an unheated greenhouse. I turn on the heat when the temps drop below 25 degrees. The days have started to warm and the soil on many of my plants has thawed. It will certainly get cold enough to freeze the soil once again before Winter's end. Will thawing then refreezing damage my plants?

It shouldn't but make sure your soil keeps moist. My deciduous trees are outdoors and I simply add snow on them to keep the soil moist, but i'm not the gardener i used to be. What type of tree are we talking about?

Thanks so much for your answer.... I have several varieties, mostly I am worried about my Trident, Japanese and Amur maples.
